Frequently Asked Questions

Answering Life's Biggest Questions.

What are the different types of PR campaigns you can support with?

With a team of content marketing specialists, advertisers, videographers, and designers behind us, we can support on practically any type of campaign you can imagine.

Typical PR campaigns may involve crafting a press release, or another form of valuable written content, and distributing this out to relevant journalists. More ambitious campaigns may involve some sort of street stunt, gorilla marketing tactics, collaborations with influencers or other brands, an event, or non-written assets such as video footage or billboards – and ultimately, we can support with it all.

How do make sure you’re contacting the right journalists and publications?

We’re partnered with Cision – a platform which gives us access to one of the world’s largest PR contact databases. Using Cision, we can build a bespoke database of contacts for your brand which takes into account the types of topics a journalist or publication usually speaks about, professional preferences of journalists, and the reach or engagement of a publication. All this information helps our specialists to ascertain relevancy when putting your database together.

We also do the work to understand your audience, looking at what topics they’re most likely to be engaged in and which channels they are most active on. So, as well as ensuring your database comprises of journalists who are more likely to share your story, we also make sure you database aligns with where your audience is most likely to be.

How long does a PR campaign take to prepare?

It really depends on the type of campaign – a simple press release campaign could be prepared in as little as 1-2 weeks, whereas an event or stunt-based campaign will require more coordination with third-parties and could take several months to organise.

Our team will always strive to meet your needs when it comes to campaign deadlines, but we advise leaving at least 1 month – longer, if you are looking for an event, stunt, or any form of third-party collaboration – to ensure we can meet your vision in full.

What does success look like for a digital PR campaign?

This is a commonly asked question, as the chain-reaction nature of digital PR means it always has some blind spots when it comes to how many people have actually seen your campaign.

Ultimately, if your goal is brand awareness, then we will report on reach in as much detail as we can, but you can often assume the actual reach of your campaign will be higher than the tangible numbers we are able to report. This is especially true for any offline campaign activities. We will also measure your brand mentions as a metric of success, as this allows us to see where and how people are talking about your brand as a result of the awareness your campaign has generated.

PR success can also be measured in backlinks to your website – both the volume and quality of these – as well as analytics metrics such as website traffic and conversions. These metrics are often more available when paid PR tactics are used as part of the campaign – this is why, if your goal is ROI rather than just awareness, we may suggest paid tactics for a strategic advantage.

How can you manage my brand’s reputation through digital PR?

Digital PR is a crucial marketing tactic for brand reputation management. By building up positive PR stories around your brand, you can establish trust with audiences and evidence your expertise, values, and mission; in short, you can control the narrative around your brand rather than letting others define it.

In a worst-case scenario, digital PR can also be used in crisis management situations. If your brand suddenly receives an influx of negative sentiment, then PR tactics should be your first point-of-call to acknowledge and address the issue in an open, public way. By doing this, you can aim to re-establish accountability and trust, rebuilding your reputation with audiences rather than letting it plummet.
