down you go

Whether you’re after a website refresh, a reskin or a rebuild, we’re not just going to apply your branding and call it a day. That’s so 2015.

Everyone and their mother (and their mother) browses online these days. From ecommerce to brochure sites, there’s no shortage of brands vying for our attention.

But what makes a customer choose one or the other? It doesn’t just come down to price or product features. Experience plays a big part in their decision making.

We want to give your customers an experience that’s different from your competitors. They’re crying out for something new (if you listen closely you can hear them). Adding a splash (or bucket load) of creative flair to your website is just one way we like to do that.

Our creative
web design
process

Our process ensures success from the off. We don’t just dive straight into the visuals, a website is so much more than that.

We want to understand your goals and ambitions so that we can design a solution that gets you there, (and you don’t need a redo every 3 years) that not only works for your customers but leaves them with an experience they can’t quite forget.

We love a workshop.

First up is our discovery phase. A tailored approach, depending on requirements, where we gather as much information as possible. We document your technical and functional requirements, audit any existing solutions to ascertain what’s working and what isn’t, review competitors (so we’ve got a benchmark to exceed), and begin to explore the creative direction.

Wirefram
ing

A little bit like a blueprint.

We wireframe the core page templates to ensure content is structured to maximise SEO, the user journey is defined and signposted throughout the site, and any intended animation, visual assets, and functionality are documented. Wireframes are designed mobile first, and provided in both mobile and desktop orientation to ensure a fully responsive solution.

Bringing our ideas to life.

Now we bring the wireframes to life. This often involves applying your preexisting branding to the wires to create a series of high-fidelity mock ups so you can get an accurate view of how the finished website will look, and in some cases, an animated mock up to demonstrate dynamic functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answering Life's Biggest Questions.

What does creative web design involve?

Creative web design is all about using elevation to create a lasting user experience. These days, every website looks and feels the same. Consumers have more and more choice available to them so any opportunity to stand out from the crowd should be harnessed. Creative web design takes a functional user experience and elevates it to a memorable one, sparking interest and intrigue and leaving your brand at the forefront of their mind.

What are your typical timelines?

This varies depending on your requirements. As a creative website design agency, we’ve got experience working on projects both large and small. We’ve met tight turnarounds in the space of a week or two, and worked on projects with multiple iterations that spanned months. It all depends on what you need us to create.

Do you need content and assets up front?

No, not straight away. It helps to have access to an asset library during the initial discovery phase, along with any brand guidelines, and an understanding of preexisting content, but don’t sweat if you don’t have either. We have content writers and an in-house photographer who can help support the project and ensure a high quality and SEO compliant (particularly important when it comes to content) final product.

Are we involved in the process at each step?

Yes. We always want to make sure that our clients feel included and involved in every step of the creative design process. Your project will have a lead designer assigned, and you’ll have weekly check-ins with them and the rest of the team, depending on how many designers are working on your project, to touch base and get regular updates. This gives us the opportunity to share our work regularly, collect feedback, and keep the project on track. Working collaboratively is key!

How do you ensure the quality of the final web design?

Because we’re multitalented! Not only are our designers skilled creatively, they also have the technical knowledge of creative website development and SEO best practice, not to mention we have an entire digital team at our fingertips, to ensure that the web page designs that we create not only look amazing but are functional and support your business goals. There’s literally no point in designing a page that won’t perform so we make functionality our priority at the beginning of our project process.
