What’s the difference between SEO and PPC?

PPC gets you straight to the top of the SERPs (search engine result pages) by paying an ad spend for particular keywords. It’s pretty quick to get visibility in front of your customers.

SEO on the other hand is where you optimise your website in ways to improve your visibility for chosen keywords. Just like PPC, the goal is to appear at the top of the SERPs but SEO takes longer to build visibility as it’s seen as a medium to long-term strategy. Once you’re at the top though, you can benefit from ‘free’ traffic as there’s no ad spend associated with SEO.
